The Centralized Criminal Investigations Division of the Athens-Clarke County Police Department is responsible for follow-up investigations of crimes committed in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. The responsibilities for investigating crimes are assigned according to the type of crime involved. Areas of responsibility include: domestic violence, sex crimes, person crimes, financial crimes, forensics, and the Drug Task Force (DTF).
