A. Purpose: To establish a student internship program within the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
B. Policy Statement: Clarke County Sheriff’s Office supports and will participate in any program associated with a college or university which enables students working toward a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field to be exposed to the daily functions of a general law enforcement agency.The Clarke County Sheriff’s Office participates in this program in order to fulfill its obligation to the law enforcement community to bring about a more professional and informed deputy sheriff.
This program achieves the varied goals of exposing members of the academic community to the realities of applied theory and to expose the deputy sheriff to those engaged in scholastic endeavors directly relating to their chosen profession.
