An estimated 375 million printer cartridges are disposed of in the US each year. Cartridges are readily recyclable and can be refilled. Many programs exist for non-profit organizations to collect cartridges and mail them back in exchange for funds for their program. Check with your favorite non-profit or store for recycling and refilling options.
