Landscape Management is currently operating on reduced staff.
We are focused on maintaining a safe environment for the citizens of Athens-Clarke County.
Crews are focused on immediate roadside vegetation, immediate sidewalk vegetation, storm clean-up, sight restrictions and hazards.
Regular and routine maintenance is limited to one mower pass along the roadside and one pass along sidewalks.
Litter clean-up is still ongoing with reduced staff.
The Athens-Clarke County Landscape Management Division provides landscaping services to public buildings, parks, and rights of way in Athens-Clarke County. It is their responsibility to mow all public rights of way in the county, with the exception of those on state roads.
The division maintains the landscaping of all Athens-Clarke County athletic fields and most of the recreational parks, such as Bishop Park, in the county. Additionally, Landscape Management takes care of about 95 percent of the grounds of public buildings in Athens-Clarke County, most notably those downtown.
