Agriculture & Natural Resources
This service provides responses to questions concerning lawn, garden, and tree issues. Questions are addressed over the phone, through email, in person, or through a variety of gardening presentations that occur during the year.
This area also administers the Athens Area Master Gardener Program, Junior Master Gardener Programs at local elementary schools, and coordinates environmental education through a Master Naturalist Program. Additionally, pesticide certification credits are available to applicants. Educational portions of the Athens Farmers Market are also administered by this service area.
