Memorial Park has had a severe infestation of non-native invasive plants. These aggressive plants cause habitat destruction by reducing native plants, which negatively impacts wildlife populations. The dense invasive plant growth also makes the park less appealing to visitors.
The Weed Warriors have begun reversing this alarming trend, but there is still much more to do. We need your help.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Join our invasive-plant eradication project at Memorial Park. We remove invasive plants and create compost piles to breakdown the material naturally. This is a great project for people who love the park and want to see it restored to its natural state.
Workdays are scheduled one Saturday per month between October and March. Check back in September for the season schedule.
