The Weed Warriors at Memorial Park

Memorial Park has had a severe infestation of non-native invasive plants for many years. These aggressive plants destroy habitat for native plants and animals, which reduces the variety of native wildlife in the park. The dense invasive plant growth also makes the park less appealing to visitors.

The Weed Warriors are reversing this alarming trend and have made tremendous progress over the years (see before and after photos on the right). But there is still much more to do. We need your help!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Join our invasive-plant eradication project at Memorial Park. We remove invasive plants and create compost piles to breakdown the material naturally. This is a great project for people who love the park and want to see it restored to its natural state.
