You don't have to don scuba gear and dive under the sea to spot an octopus, sea turtle, or seahorse.  Just visit the corner of Washington St. & Lumpkin St. and you will see all of these sea creatures captured on a fire hydrant by artist Ellen Walker.  

The ocean is the largest repository of biological variety on earth.  Ellen used her graphic design skills to highlight a small sampling of this ocean life with bright, simple, and colorful images that would appeal to children in particular.  After all, the hydrants are about the size of some of our youngest Athenians, so why not give them something eye level that will put a smile on their faces?
