Volunteer Orientation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the ACCAS Adoption Center!

Due to COVID-19, the Animal Services Adoption Center is limiting our volunteers to smaller groups and individuals that are scheduled through our Give Pulse platform.

We are happy to announce that we have opened up our Online Orientation and In Person Training so that we can get new volunteers in our doors!

We require all volunteers complete an orientation and in-shelter training session at the Animal Services Adoption Center prior to beginning volunteer service. Some volunteer opportunities may require additional training – this will be discussed at orientation.

Once you complete orientation, volunteering is on a pre-scheduled shift basis through an online schedule, and you choose your volunteer shifts at your convenience!

Please review the Community Programs Participant and Volunteer Guide to make sure our Volunteer Program is the right fit for you.

If you have any further questions, please email Abigail Sawyer, Volunteer Coordinator at Abigail.sawyer@accgov.com or call the shelter at 706-613-3540.
