While land protection includes the actions to protect and preserve existing lands, land management makes decisions for what the land will look like in the future. Planning how land will be used and the ways it will be managed protects the land for future generations. Efforts like invasive plant species removal and management, the Greenspace Acquisition Program and the Managed Forest Program help to make environmentally-conscious decisions for our community’s land.
