3rd Round of Loans for Local Small Businesses & Non-Profits with 1-20 Employees Open June 7-18, 2021

Applications for Round 3 of JDA loans will open at 8:30 AM on Monday, June 7, 2021. The deadline is Friday, June 18. The loans are targeted to small businesses and 501c(3) non-profits with 1-20 employees physically located in Athens-Clarke County.

  • 3 members appointed by City of Winterville

TERM: 4 years



  • Regular meetings: Quarterly, second month of each quarter (February, May, August and November) on the first Wednesday at 5:00 PM
  • Special meetings: will be determined at call.

The Joint Development Authority of the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and the City of Winterville was established to provide a route to economic development activities that are unavailable to either local government, potentially including loan support, tax benefits or property transfers that serve in the best interest of the establishing local governments. It includes each Mayor (or designee) as a member, as well as three additional residents from Athens-Clarke County and two additional residents from Winterville. Each member must be a tax payer residing in the participating jurisdiction that appointed such member.
