MEMORIAL DAY SCHEDULE 2022
2022 Memorial Day Holiday Schedule
The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost, garbage, recycling, and leaf & limb collections on Monday, May 30th, 2022 in recognition of the Memorial Day Holiday.
If you have residential service & commercial service with us outside of the downtown district your pick up schedule will be as follows: Monday will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday. Wednesday will be collected on Thursday. Thursday and Friday will be collected on Friday. We will resume our normal pickup schedule on Monday, June 6th, 2022. Please make sure your trash and recycling roll-carts are out on the curb by 7:00 AM on your pick up day.
- If you have commercial or residential service with us and are located within the Downtown District your pick up will be on regular schedule.

Annually, the Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department may alter collection service for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
