National Public Works Week (May 19-25, 2024), sponsored annually by the American Public Works Association (APWA), celebrates the importance of public works in our daily lives. Planning, building, managing, and operating are at the heart of local communities, which improve everyday quality of life. In honor of this special week, ACCGov departments under the umbrella of Public Works - including Central Services, Public Utilities, Solid Waste, Transit, and Transportation & Public Works - are hosting employee-only facility tours that are open to all ACCGov employees, regardless of department. All tours will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 PM throughout the week.

Thursday, May 23: J.G. Beacham Drinking Water Treatment Plant (780 Barber Street)

Friday, May 24: Cedar Creek Water Reclamation Facility (4100 S. Barnett Shoals Road)
