Budget and Strategic Analysis (BSAD) will be holding learning sessions every Wednesday, June 18, 2025 - August 6, 2025. These sessions will review software and applications that BSAD manages and often works in. 

The schedule includes:

Week 1: Navigating ACCGov’s Open Data Portal: ACCGov maintains an Open Data Portal where publicly available data can be accessed by staff or residents. This class will show you how to access these datasets.

Week 2: How to Change my Map Colors - ArcGIS Maps: Many departments have maps that need simple changes like changing the color of a symbol. This class will go through how to make simple text or color changes.

Week 3: Reading a Data Dashboard: Dashboards are great ways for departments to present information in a concise format. This class will review how to navigate through a dashboard and what the general elements mean.

Week 4: How to create a Dashboard: We have learned how other departments use Dashboards to present their information, now it’s your turn!

Week 5: Navigating a Web Map Application: Web Map Applications are great ways for departments to present information in an interactive format. This class will review how to navigate through an application including filters, menus, zooming, and more.

Week 6: How to create a Web Map Application: We’ve learned how to make small adjustments to an existing map and how other departments use Web Map Applications to present their information, now it’s your turn!

Week 7: How to make a Survey - Survey123: Surveys are a great way to gather feedback or data from multiple sources. This class will review the basics of creating a survey in the two platforms approved by ACCGov.

Week 8: Data Bash - Networking event: We’ve had a great summer learning more about data, now it’s time to get together and celebrate the end of summer and all of the learning that we have done!
