UPDATE: October 14, 2019 – ACCPD Releases Sketch of Pope Street Suspect
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect portrayed in a sketch released today. According to detectives, the suspect possibly has tattoos on his neck and forehead. The 21-year-old victim stated that the suspect was in his 20’s, had a slim build, was approximately 6’ 1” tall, and was wearing dark clothing. The armed robbery took place just after noon on October 10th on the 300 block of S. Pope Street.
