PURSUANT TO O.C.G.A. 21-2-132(d)(4)(B), you are hereby notified that there will be a General Municipal Election held by the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for the purpose of electing Mayor and two (2) Council Member for the City of Winterville. 

You are further notified that qualifying for said seats will open on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. and will continue daily from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM with said qualifying period ending on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 5 PM.  Qualifying will be conducted at the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections Office, 155 East Washington Street, Athens, Georgia.  The qualifying fee is required upon qualifying and is prescribed by law.   

WINTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL (2 seats) $ 126.00

WINTERVILLE CITY MAYOR $ 540.00

  All offices will be elected for a four-year term that will begin on January 1, 2024.  A runoff, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  The polling place for holding said General Municipal Election shall be the Winterville Train Depot and will be open from 7:00 o'clock am until 7:00 o'clock pm on Election Day.
