Blaine Williams was appointed as the fourth Manager of the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County in April, 2016.
Previously, he served as the Assistant Manager of the Unified Government, and before in Floyd County, Georgia as the County Manager and Assistant Manager.
He has worked in the private sector as a consultant for not-for-profit hospital systems, including the LSU Charity Hospital System before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina.
Blaine has also worked for the Middle Georgia Regional Commission and the City of Rome, Georgia.
He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia, has completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and is an ICMA Credentialed Manager.
He lives in Athens with his wife and three sons, who attend Barrow Elementary and Clarke Middle School.
