In honor of EPA's WaterSense Fix a Leak Week, join Athens-Clarke County Public Utilities staff and local certified plumber, Pete Carson, for a hands-on workshop about finding and fixing common household leaks. During the workshop, you'll learn to locate and read your meter, fix household leaks, and track water usage. Participants will receive lots of information and goodies on how to Get a Handle on Leaks.

Fix a Leak Week is a national campaign hosted by EPA's WaterSense program to encourage people to find and fix leaks inside and outside their homes to save valuable water and money. Household leaks can waste nearly 1 trillion gallons of water annually nationwide, so each year, they encourage folks to hunt down the drips during Fix a Leak Week, March 16-22, 2026.
