Outside of formal Open Records requests, this unit serves as the point of contact for all media requests (including press releases) to the department and answers general questions from the public. This unit maintains the department's social media outlets, as well as several websites: www.accpdcareers.com, www.accgov.com/police, and the department's transparency website. The Transparency website is an excellent source of information for crime statistics, traffic fatalities, and annual reports. In addition, this unit documents police department events and community outreach involvement through photos and videos.
