If you have a Twelve Month Order (or less), you may ask the Court to extend the order to last three years or make it permanent.


To file a petition for a TPO, please go to the Clerk of Superior/State Court Office located on the 4th floor of the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse.  Blank TPO petitions are made available in the office.

The Superior Court Judges typically hear Ex-Parte Petitions on Monday through Friday at 11:00AM and 3:00PM. Please allow enough time to complete the petition and have it notarized.

Project Safe is available on Tuesdays from 9:00AM-5:00PM to assist with completing a Petition for a TPO.
