Overview

• Domestic services will require Double Check Assemblies or Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies. (This will be determined by the processes that will be present on site.)
•  Irrigation services require Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies. 
• Fire protection services will require Double Check Detector Check Assemblies. 
• Approved installations examples can be viewed in the Cross Connection Manual. 
• Any backflow device installed below the ground shall have an oversized box. 
• The box shall have a bed of gravel and the device at least 1 inch above the gravel. 
• A vault shall have a 4-inch bed of gravel supporting the vault. 
• The assembly shall be 3 feet from the gravel bed.
