Couch Crashers

Couch Crashers is a collaborative program to engage our community to foster and give the pets in our Adoption Center a much-needed break from kennel life.

All pets must be rabies vaccinated and spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate), and off their stray hold period in order to be eligible for foster. 

This type of fostering can be from a couple of days to a week.

Note: We do not typically send small dogs out for Couch Crashers, as they are our most adoptable pets and do not typically need a foster.

Temps for Transports

Transports are a crucial part to our operations at Animal Services. Rescues and Humane Societies will pick our animals to be transported to their rescues. These animals are no longer available for adoption through us and take up crucial kennel space at the shelter.

Temps for Transports allows us to clear some kennels so they can be filled by other animals in need. It is also a great chance for these animals to decompress from the shelter before their long car rides.

Temps for Transport can be as short as a week to a couple of weeks.
