HOME Program
HOME stands for Home Investment Partnership Program. HOME is a formula grant that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awards to states and local governments to provide funding for affordable housing for low-income individuals.

Fair Housing Impediments
What does 'Impediments to Fair Housing' mean? Impediments to Fair Housing means any action or decision that a person or company makes that can stop someone from receiving housing based on their race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, religion, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, or other factor. Affirmatively Further Fair Housing Athens-Clarke County's Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is working diligently to ensure that ACC Gov stays in compliance with HUD's requirements to receive entitlement grants. One of those requirements includes submitting a certification to affirmatively further fair housing.
