On October 2, 2018, the Mayor and Commission approved the Athens in Motion bike/pedestrian master plan.

The Athens In Motion Plan identifies a clear strategy for near and long-term projects that will result in a safe, connected, and equitable bike and pedestrian network for Athens-Clarke County.

The Athens in Motion Commission (AIMC) is responsible for development, implementation, and modification of the plan for a safe and connected network of bicycle and pedestrian facilities throughout Athens-Clarke County.

The AIMC is advisory in nature and is charged with the responsibility of recommending projects, policies, and initiatives to the Mayor and Commission. Find out more about its upcoming meetings.
