Sandy Creek Park has fifteen parking lots with almost 600 spaces across the developed areas of the park with an additional 107 on-street parking spaces on the Beechtree Drive loop. Parking itself is free though there are fees for entering the park.

Park hours are posted at the Gatehouse and at each of the three roadway intersections within the park. All vehicles must exit the park before the posted park closing time. After hours egress can be obtained by calling Athens-Clarke County Police (706-613-388) or using one of the emergency callboxes throughout the park. ACC Police will issue a citation for after-hours egress as per ACC ordinances.

Boat Trailers
Boat Trailer Parking is available in Lot 11 adjacent to the Boat Ramp on Beechtree Drive. Should those 11 spaces fill, boat trailers can be parked in the on-street parking on the Beechtree Drive loop.

Horse Trailers
Patrons horseback riding along the Buckeye Trail may park their vehicle and trailer on the outer periphery of Parking Lot 15 at the end of Campsite Drive near the start of the Buckeye Trail.

NOTE: We do ask that all vehicles and trailers park on pavement and not on the roadside as this can damage our stormwater ditches and other hidden infrastructure along the roadsides.
