In combination with SPLOST 2011 Project 8 Sub-Project 3, Spring Valley Road to ACC Line construction budget will be funded through the TSPLOST portion of this project. 

Project Details

This Sub-Project includes the necessary land acquisition efforts, as funding allows, beginning at Hancock/Spring Valley Road and ending at Moores Grove Road/Athens Road intersection in Winterville. The project is in the Preliminary Plan phase with public input being taken until September 9, 2020.

Project Updates

The Preliminary Plans for the first portion of Sub-Project #3 were approved by M&C on October 6, 2020.  Final Design on the first portion of Sub-Project #3 is proceeding according to schedule. The Preliminary Plans for the remainder of Sub-Project #3, using the original rail bed or Alternate “A” alignment was approved by M&C on March 3, 2021. Preliminary Land Acquisition efforts are in progress, including title opinion reports and appraisals. Construction target goal of Summer 2023.
