Screening Checkpoint & at the Gate

Screening Checkpoint

Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the screening checkpoint. If a medical official or parent needs to accompany a ticketed passenger to the gate, please check with your airline to determine how that may be possible. All laptops must be removed from their case and x-rayed separately.

Be prepared to remove all metal items from your pockets to be scanned, including:

  • Cell phones
  • Change
  • Foil-wrapped gum or candy
  • Keys
  • Wallets containing credit cards
  • Other metal items

To speed up the process, these items should previously be placed in your purse, briefcase, or bag to be scanned by the x-ray machine. Limit metal objects worn on your person. You may be asked to drink any beverage that is carried through the checkpoint.

At the Gate

Be prepared to again present a valid photo identification card along with a boarding pass. Some travelers and their bags will be required to participate in additional screening.
