23. Organizations with ten or more swimmers must pre-register to use an Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department pool.  Organizations will be assigned a pool and time slot based on availability.   Organizations located in Athens-Clarke County have priority preference for group pool usage at ACC Leisure Services Department pools. All other non-Athens-Clarke County camps or groups will be accepted on an available basis.

    GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

    • Due to high demand, time slots are limited.  Pools are available for group usage Tuesdays through Fridays, from 1:15 pm to 5:15 pm.   Walker Park Splash Pad is available Tuesday through Friday, from 11 am to 5:15 pm.  The admission fee is $1 per person, which includes group staff & counselors.
    • 1 to 10 ratio of Staff/Counselors for children 6 years and older; 1 to 3 ratio for 5 years old and younger.
    • Staff/Counselors are in charge of supervising their participants. ACC Lifeguards are provided to guard the pool ONLY.  Leisure Services Department staff reserves the right to dismiss any group that cannot abide by the stated pool rules and other Leisure Services Department policies.                                        
    • The Staff/Counselors are required to stay within the aquatics facility during the duration of time listed on the permit
    • Staff/Counselors MUST carry permission slips signed by parents, which include the participant’s personal information, emergency contact information, medication information or any other pertinent information.  This is extremely important in case of emergency.
    • Groups are required to bring cash (no checks or credit cards) in order to gain access to the facility
    • We must have all required information listed on the permit before the camp group will be confirmed.
    • Due to unforeseen circumstances, Athens-Clarke County reserves the right to cancel any event and will try to accommodate another time.
    • Access to the complex will only be granted for the time frame listed and for the particular facility requested on the facility permit.
    • Access will only be granted for the maximum number of participants listed on the facility permit and the group will be charged for the amount you have reserved for.
    • Swim test will be given on the first day for those wishing to use the diving boards/diving wells.   If your group is returning on another day, you are required to keep track of participants who have passed.   You will be held responsible for properly wrist banding your participants.
    • Cancellations are appreciated 24 hours prior to your scheduled time
