Building Permits & Inspections Certificate of Occupancy Resource Documents

Overview

  • A fee is charged for Temporary Certificates of Occupancy. No fee is charged for a permanent certificate of occupancy.
  • A certificate of occupancy is typically issued by the next business day once all reviewing department inspections have been approved and resulted in Clariti      
  • Building Inspection will notify all reviewing departments that project is ready for final inspections. Final Report of Special Inspections must be submitted and approved prior to issuance of a CO.   The Building Inspection Department will notify all reviewing departments that a final inspection has been requested.
  • When the builder calls for their final building inspections, all departments will be notified by email and they will schedule their own individual inspections.   Once all final inspections have passed for a CO, the building inspections department will prepare it and notify the builder when it is released.
