TPW - Land Development Presubmittal Resource Documents

Overview 

  • TPW Land Development Section is responsible for review and permitting of Stormwater Management, roadway construction, ROW improvements, erosion and sediment control, and floodplain management.  
  • For projects that involve disturbance of more than one acre, are within 200ft of state waters, or creating/replacing 5,000 sq ft or more of impervious surface a Stormwater Management Conference is required prior to plan submittal. 
  • Please review the Transportation and Public Works Plans Review checklist prior to submittal of plans to verify that all required items have been provided. 
  • Please review TPW technical standards to ensure plans meet compliance standards. 
  • Projects disturbing an acre or more require a three phase ES&PC plan with the applicable GSWCC checklist. If not provided, plans will not be reviewed. 
  • Project requiring stormwater design require a complete hydrology and hydrological study demonstrating compliance with technical standards. If not provided, Stormwater Management plans will not be reviewed. 
  • If project is required to be built in phases, please ensure construction and ES&PC plans reflect proposed phasing. 
  • Before TPW can issue any permits showing work within GDOT ROW, proof of GODT approval is required. Email proof of approval to TPWsubmissions@accgov.com
  • Before issuing permit, if working in GDOT ROW, a letter or email from GDOT showing they have approved the proposed work is required to be submitted to TPWsubmissions@accgov.com.
