Stormwater Utility Billing & Payments

Stormwater Billing Customer Service Representatives are accessible by phone and email from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If you have a question about your account or how to pay your bill after reviewing this page, call 706-613-3989 or email stormwater@accgov.com.

In December 2004, the Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission voted to create a new utility fee to fund stormwater management in the county. This fee is billed to the owners of all developed property in Athens-Clarke County. For more information on the history of the fee and what it pays for, visit our Stormwater Utility Fee page.

The Stormwater Utility is separate from Athens-Clarke County's Water/Sewer utility. Please do not combine payments for Stormwater Utility and Water/Sewer Utility accounts. Combined payments will be returned and may result in the application of late fees to both utility accounts. Payments received after the due date printed on your utility bill are subject to a late payment fee.

PAY ONLINE                                                                               

You can now pay your Stormwater Utility Bill online via our Click2Gov platform. You will need your Stormwater Utility account number(s) to set up an online profile. Once on the portal, you can make a one-time payment (without creating a profile), change mailing addresses, set-up recurring credit card or bank draft payments, and access your account history. There are no additional processing fees for customers when paying their bill(s) online.

When using Click2Gov on a mobile device, turn your phone to landscape mode for optimal viewing experience.

Water Business Office hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is an overnight drop box available on site. The Water Business Office also accepts Athens-Clarke County water utility and sanitation service payments.

PAY BY PHONE                                                                          

Please call the Stormwater Billing Office at 706-613-3989 if you would like to pay your bill with a credit card. A customer service representative will be able to take down your card information over the phone.

PAY BY BANK DRAFT                                                              

EFTS or direct withdrawal from a bank account is also offered. If you are interested in direct withdrawal from your account, please download the bankdraft form, and submit the completed document to our office. You can also set-up Autopay through our online payment portal. 

Note: If you are making payments using your bank's online bill pay option, please make sure to select the appropriate vendor and mailing address. Please do not choose the Athens-Clarke County Water Business Office as your vendor for stormwater payments - this will result in your payment going to your water account instead of your Stormwater account.
