Community Police Academy - 2023 - Our 48th Class

DATES & TIMES:  March 16, 2023  -  May 25, 2023  -    10 Consecutive Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

LOCATION:  ACCPD East Precinct, 3035 Lexington Road

Completed applications must be submitted by March 3, 2023

Designed to give you an opportunity to see what our officers do every day, this updated Citizen Police Academy will include many more Hands-On Activities including Crime Scene Analysis, Ride Alongs, Mock Vehicle Stops, Crisis Intervention Scenarios, Use-Of-Force Simulator, and more.

Requirements:  

  • Must be resident of or work in Athens-Clarke County

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by first class

  • Must complete an application and agree to a criminal history check

  • Must attend 9 of 12 sessions to receive a Certificate of Achievement
