Project Details
The purpose of this project is to improve connectivity for pedestrians and bicyclists along Riverbend Road between College Station Road and S. Milledge Road. The proposed project will close an existing sidewalk gap, potentially improve existing bike lanes, allowing better access to adjacent subdivisions and businesses along Riverbend Road as well as to public transportation.
Project Updates
Concept design was presented to the public for comment on October 14, 2019 and was presented to M&C on November 12, 2019. M&C directed concepts be developed further before being brought to M&C for consideration. Staff currently working on a task to develop multiuse path concepts with cost estimates. Task to include, cutting the project into two segments. Proposed Project Concepts, College Station to Milledge Ave, with cost estimates on each segment for sidewalk and for multiuse-path were presented at the December 9, 2020 Work Session https://youtu.be/R9GSOQqIGNc?t=8568. M&C approved a Project Concept by CDO on March 2, 2021 which supports a Multi-Use Path.
