January 16, 2025 - March 15, 2025North Gallery Opening Reception: Thursday, January 16th at 6pm Compatriots in art as much as anything else, the two artists share a restrained palette and lightness of touch. Both artists contrast elegant, atmospheric fields of marks alongside crisp manufactured edges, using the formal implications of depth and flatness to explore ideas of memory and temporality.

Lukasiewicz Gallery Opening Reception: Thursday, January 16th at 6pm Carol John’s paintings, whether diminutive or grand in scale, are all predicated on repeating marks and shapes. Now through February 8, 2024Lobby Case Tim Root's playful wooden constructions draw from a comic book aesthetic, featuring humorous yet grotesque characters that are brought to life in bold colors and graphic black outlines. Embracing a DIY ethos, these simple works are made from scrap wood and bits of wire. Intentionally crude, they belie their own sophistication of wit and richness of content. Root creates a world that is equal parts fun house and children's toy box, injecting an adult's perspective into the playground of imagination.
