Outreaches are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and include ambassador animal presentations, and costs $75/1 hour (with an additional fee of $0.75/mile over 40 miles from Bear Hollow Zoo).* The outreach location must have an indoor space available. Outreaches are not offered during June and July due to our summer camp programs. *Please note: Bear Hollow Zoo animals may not be away from their home habitats for more than 3 hours, so the distance we can travel is limited.Less…

Organizations will be assigned a pool and time slot based on availability. Organizations located in Athens-Clarke County have priority preference for group pool usage at ACC Leisure Services Department pools. All other non-Athens-Clarke County camps or groups will be accepted on an available basis.Less…

Self-guided tours are offered on Mondays and Fridays. Picnic Shelters are available to reserve for lunch following your self-guided tour. Guided tours are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and include a 30 minute ambassador animal presentation, a guided map for your zoo tour, and costs $3 per student for Athens-Clarke County groups and $5 per student for non-Clarke County groups. There is no fee for teachers, however, we do have a limit of 1 adult chaperone per every 10 students. Field trips are not offered during June and July. Field trips will not be available for Spring 2026 due to SPLOST construction. Please look at our outreach options for Spring 2026 dates.Less…
