Overview
The Clarke County Health Department Office of Environmental Health (CCHDEH) provides comments for projects submitted to the ACC Planning Department through ACC's Plans Review process. The applicant must also work directly with CCHDEH when health permits are needed to begin the application review process even if the application has already submitted to ACC Planning.
The CCHDEH review is separate and requires a separate submittal, documents, and fees.
CCHDEH approval is required for Plans Review submittals of all types in addition to all other ACC reviewing departments. Plans approved through the ACC Plans Review Process must be identical to those approved by the CCHDEH.
Specific requirements for equipment and kitchen layout are based on the proposed menu and processes. After your completed application along with your plans- including the proposed floor plan and equipment- have been submitted an Environmental Health Specialist will be assigned to work on the review with you and will address these items in detail.
A common requirement for resubmittal is an application not clarifying in their application that county water and sewer will be utilized.
