MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide input on emerging community needs that may be addressed using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.
• Evaluate CDBG applications to ensure they appropriately meet the Consolidated Plan goals and address community needs.
• Provide feedback to assist the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government in prioritizing CDBG funding.
• The Vision Committee typically meets for a brief orientation session in October and a half day meeting in January to discuss CDBG applications.
