Nonprofit Capacity Building Program

Program Overview:

Cultivating Non-Profits (CNC Athens) Program is designed to increase the capacity of small and effective Athens-Clarke County (ACC) non-profit organizations (NPOs) so that they can sustainably fulfill their mission.

Funded through the American Rescue and Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by ACC Housing and Community Development (HCD,) CNC Athens is designed to support sustainable growth, program delivery and management for non-profit leaders that are members of the communities that they serve.

Culminating in a capstone project, 5 NPOs selected through a competitive process will complete 12 learning sessions within 6 monthly modules and exit with the knowledge, skills and tools to better implement their mission. They will also receive up to $40,000 in funding to support their capacity building activities. Learning sessions include breakfast, lunch and an opportunity to network. Organizations that applied to CNC Athens through the RFP process are welcome to join sessions. The RFP is closed and sessions are closed to the public.
