Project WET Workshop
Project WET is water education for K-12 teachers to facilitate and promote awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of our water resources.

The Water Conservation Office offers educator workshops for informal and formal educators in the Athens-Clarke County area. Workshops are training sessions to familiarize educators with the classroom-ready activity guides and provide educators with other great resources. Find more information on Project WET.

Speakers Bureau
Is your church or community organization interested in Athens' water? We have programs on water quality, the perils of bottled water, statewide water issues, and others. We can customize a presentation to suit your needs. We give talks to groups of all ages, backgrounds, and interest level. Contact us at savewater@accgov.com to arrange for a presentation.

WaterSmart Workshops
The Public Utilities Department offers a FREE, online water management tool to all water customers. The system is user-friendly, but a group presentation is available to introduce customers to all of the benefits the system offers. Customers who use WaterSmart save water and money. Rain Barrel Workshops
Rain barrels help conserve water and reduce erosion from stormwater runoff. The Athens-Clarke County Stormwater Division offers rain barrel workshops. In this hands-on workshop participants work with ACC staff to build their own rain barrels and learn how to install them at home. Participants leave with their own, ready to install rain barrel!
