How We Determine High Bill Adjustments for Above Ground Leak: Once it is determined that a problem has been resolved, an adjustment can be issued. The request for an adjustment must be received no later than 6 months past the repair date for it to be considered. A customer is limited to 1 adjustment per year whether above ground or underground. The consumption in Tiers 2, 3 and 4 will be reduced to Tier 1 and charged at the Tier 1 consumption rate. No adjustment is given on the sewer portion of the bill. Customers must attach a copy of the repair invoice. - Underground Leak Adjustment Form
How We Determine Leak Adjustments for Underground Leak: Your average bill determines the amount of an adjustment. We add a year of your usage, prior to the leak, to determine your average usage. Any usage over the average is considered the leak portion. If you are charged for sewer, the charges for the leak portion are taken off and you pay your average amount. You are responsible for your average water cost plus ½ of the leak portion of water charged. We will absorb ½ of the cost of the leak portion of water charged. We adjust (2) bills for a leak. The request for an adjustment must be received no later than 6 months past the repair date for it to be considered. A customer is limited to 1 adjustment per year whether above ground or underground.
