Applicants will be notified by email when Plans are fully approved. Approved and Stamped Plans will be loaded into your submissions folder in the Community Portal prior to email being sent out. Planning staff will also notify Building Inspections, Transportation and Public Works, and Public Utilities when plans have been stamped and approved, to ensure that each department is aware the project has completed Plans Review and ready to work toward obtaining required permits.
This section breaks permitting into three main sections: Building Permits, Site Permits, Miscellaneous Permit, with an additional fourth section for parameters and requirements for changes to an approved plan after permits have been issued.
Building Permits are split into two categories: Commercial Building & Trades Permit and Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Plans.
Site Permits are split into two categories: Land Disturbance Activity Permits (LDA) and Utility Line Extension Permits.
Miscellaneous Permits includes walk-throughs for several permits commonly associated with development projects during the permitting phase.
Changes to Approved Plans after Permitting include: Field Changes, Change to Approved applications, and new Plans Review submittals.
Any conditions of approval from Plans Review that must be met prior to permitting will need to be satisfied and confirmed by relevant departments prior to permits being issued.
Within the resource documents section each department has a specific detailed overview of their involvement/requirements for that step of the development services process. Some departments may not have requirements for each phase of a project. If a section is blank or has no resources documents, it can be assumed, with our current code, nothing is required from that department.
