Submit plans/drawings and site plan that includes the location of the EV charging station(s) in relation to the overall parking lot and parcel as a whole to the Fire Marshal’s office for review and approval. Once they have approved the plan set, they will sign/stamp the plans.

Fill out and submit a Zoning Permit application to the Planning Department along with the Fire Marshal’s signed and stamped plans. There is a $25 fee for the Zoning Permit.
Submit an Electrical Permit application to the Building Permits & Inspections Department along with the Fire Marshal’s signed and stamped plans and your approved Zoning Permit.

The Electrical Permit application will need to be completed and signed by a Georgia Licensed Electrical Contractor that can provide their Business License, State License and Driver’s License. We will accept a business license issued by any jurisdiction in Georgia.
Any new EV charging station that is installed at an existing parking lot can only be approved if it is shown in the plan set that all parking spot requirements are still met.
Typical approval process will take 7 business days or less.
