Addressing
- New addresses are determined and issued by the Planning and Zoning Department during the development process in accordance with ACC Code of Ordinance 7-3-12.
New addresses are assigned when:
- Any Final Plat submittal (splitting a parcel into multiple parcels or combining multiple parcels into one)
- Constructing a new building
- Expanding or altering an existing building
Once complete plans or plats have been submitted, Planning staff will determine what, if any, new additional addresses, suite numbers, building numbers, or unit numbers will be required.
Failure to coordinate addresses with the Planning Department can result in unintended delays such as:
- Permit issuance
- Certificate of Occupancy issuance
- Setting of utility meters
- e911 recognition
Requests for a street name change shall follow the Type II procedures as set forth in Chapter 9-4 of this title.
Contact ACC Planning staff for specific addressing questions.
