Project Updates

The contract was executed with Sheridan Construction for Pre-construction services and Demolition. The Contractor has completed the removal of all interior perimeter walls, fixtures, electrical conduits, ceilings, flooring, and other materials from each floor of the building. They have also completed the asbestos abatement throughout the building. A third-party industrial hygienist was on-site to monitor the hazardous material abatement and to ensure that it is properly removed, stored, and  disposed. The Architect continues the development of Construction Drawings and Project specifications which are expected to be completed in early May. A project Commissioning Agent has been selected for this project and contract execution is in progress. The Contractor identified an additional 900SF of asbestos on the third floor and it has been abated from the building. March 25, 2022, a Costa Building walkthrough was held with the Design Team and User Group to view the completion of demolition.
