2024 49th Juried Exhibition
Curated by Jen Sudul Edwards
March 12 – May 4, 2024
This year’s juror was Jen Sudul Edwards, Chief Curator and Curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jen Sudul Edwards, Ph.D., received her doctorate from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, in 2014, writing her dissertation on the early works of Niki de Saint Phalle under the advisement of Dr. Linda Nochlin and Robert Storr. Since July 2019 she has been the Chief Curator and Curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum. Prior to the Mint, Dr. Sudul Edwards held curatorial positions at the Norton Simon Museum, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the Annenberg Space for Photography, Los Angeles. She has received various awards, but her two favorites are an SEMC Gold Award for her Wrestling the Angel exhibition publication (2018) and Charlottean of the Year from Charlotte Magazine in 2019.
Jen Sudul Edwards reviewed 722 works of art by 265 Athens area artists. Of these, Ms. Edwards chose 160 works by 111 local artists.
