The Lounge Gallery at the Lyndon House Arts Center, features quarterly solo exhibitions by emerging artists. Artists in the beginning stages of their careers are invited to show wall-bound works in mediums alternating from drawing to painting to photography to printmaking.
Opening in the Lounge Gallery, is Wilma, a long time resident of Athens, Georgia, who was raised in Winterville. She has been a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist for nearly 3 decades, and a singer for most of her life. In 2007, her song ‘Winterville’ was proclaimed the Anthem of that fair city, and she the Musical Ambassador. She has been creating art and photography privately since her youth. In 2002, she discovered a unique technique for capturing nature, structures, people and animals through the lens. Her first visual art exhibit will feature photographs using this technique. Wilma’s exhibit will on view from February 23 - April 20
