The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce Autumn’s Arrival, an exhibition and book launch by local artist David Hale.
Original woodcut compositions by Hale illustrate the children’s book, which tells the story of the adoption of his daughter, Autumn.
There will be a special event on August 31, 2019 from 2-6pm where Hale will be signing books and selling original prints, blocks, and sketches. FACEBOOK EVENT
The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on September 5, 2019 from 6-8pm at the Lyndon House Arts Center.
The exhibit remains on view through October 12, 2019.
David Hale is an Athens-based multimedia artist, illustrator and tattooist who draws inspiration from nature and Georgia’s Native American history. Hale, author of Bird Song, a downtown mural, has just finished another large-scale mural at St. Mary’s Hospital. In addition, Hale recently received a SPLOST-funded grant from the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission to design a sculpture at the Cooperative Extension Service Center.
